I need recommendations for tall ( 5 ft+ ) standing grow lights to be able to get my monsteras and hanging baskets plants that are high up this winter . I have plenty of the clip lights but I need the tallern ones I'm unhappy with the reviews for all the ones I can find on Amazon including the sansei ones... Basically I have a sunroom that's going to have 100 plants in it and I need good full spectrum reliable lights for all of them 🤷‍♀️🙏😁🧡 please help I'm pulling my hair out over here reading reviews

Some options: Soltech or Barrina! Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but they have a lot of options for tall things

That I do not know! I think most are kind of standard? At least mine are (or I’ve never paid attention to it!) I bet someone knows tho :)

Barrina makes a vertical light that comes in two configurations. One is four foot tall with a tripod base. Also available with a heavy circular base and and attachment to make it taller. Light is 42 watts which should be fine. I have two of these. I also have a similar cheaper light that takes two to equal the brightness of the Barrina. Even though description says 42 watts also. The cheaper one is a pain in the butt to use also. Even on a timer, I have to push the floor switch four times to get to full spectrum setting every day, because it’s not the default.

Another possibility is a regular floor lamp that you place a grow bulb into.

I’ve done this with the soltech bulbs and it works great!

Could I get one of those floor lamps that have the bunch of octopus arms on them and put a different global than each one? That would be so perfect

Yep as long as you don’t exceed the wattage which should not be a problem using LED grow lights. But beware some grow lights are large so consider that in your search.

I have a couple of these and another version that has a round metal shade. Got them on sale or in their overstock for less than $20 each.

I finally bought some at Ollie’s but the plants I have under them don’t seem to be growing much so I don’t know how good they work!

I love my LBW tripods! They're around 5.5 feet tall fully upright, I think. I also have some on my plant shelves to give them even more height; my tallest light is almost touching the ceiling (9 feet). I have 8 in total, not all in constant use. The oldest I've owned for 2 years this month; it's been plugged in and running every day since it arrived and it's still doing great. They are from Amazon. I'm an avid review reader and found that most of the problems mentioned in reviews were user error or damage during shipping (and I did end up with one damaged in shipping, but they sent out a replacement- with next day delivery, which was unexpected but appreciated).

There's 5 on their tripods and a 6th hanging in the plant cabinet along with my Dommia lights.

Awesome I will check them out thank you so much yeah I'm going to put the 5-ft lights on my 4 ft tall plant table because my plants are definitely on the 8 ft ceiling

Check wattages. Often if it’s not mentioned, then it was left out because it is a low wattage. The cheaper ones tout their various colors, timers, and light levels and say little about their wattage. But even when wattage is the same, the higher brands are brighter.

Hi there, you can get bulb based grow lights that you hang on a pendant attached to a wall or ceiling mount. I’ve tried many bulb grow lights including Soltech Vita but my personal favourites are the Grow Gang Pianta bulbs, purchased from Amazon. I live in a rental so can’t mount them on a wall but I have them mounted to a wooden shelf. Soltech sell the Archetta mount (sp?) which is great if you buy a pendant style cord for the bulb because it comes out quite far from the wall. I also have these bulbs in a floor lamp that has movable heads so you can angle them wherever your plants are. They’re pack a punch as they are only 18W per bulb, and are excellent quality. Best of luck!
