I have a soil on hand I’m transitioning away from because it doesn’t drain well. But since I already have it, if I added Jacks Gritty Mix (also already on hand) to it to help with the drainage would this be a good solution for my non succulent plants (Philos, Pothos, Baby Rubber Plant)?

Peperomia Obstusifolia enjoy being in succulent mix. They’re epiphytic so they do much better in something with great drainage like Jack’s Gritty Mix. It should do just fine in that 👍 Hope this helps.

Are you saying my plants listed should do fine in the soil mix I mentioned making from combining two soils?

It should certainly help improve the drainage if you add the Gritty mix to them. You could repot the peperomia entirely in cactus mix if you wanted. Mine do really well in it in comparison to more peat-heavy soil mixes.

It would work but I would use something much cheaper such as perlite. Jacks is expensive. FYI it is cheaper buying direct. Amazon tacks on extra money.

Thank you for the tip! I already have jacks on hand but I agree it is expensive.
