You can get a liquid fertiliser that you mix with water and feed your plants that way when Planta says it’s time to fertilise.

i would recommend a liquid fertilizer to mix into water! the one i have is a N4P5K5 ratio, and it does well for my plants, but when i need more i’m gonna get one with a higher N amount! just research what ur plant needs, and usually fertilize every other month in fall/winter but check what planta says bc all plants are different ! :)

Not a stupid question. It can be very confusing with so many kinds of fertilizer on the market. I have used several in my plant journey including fertilizer made from kelp, fish, chicken/cow manure and others. I just use standard blue Miracle Gro on all my plants. I would use a fertilizer for acid loving plants like roses, azaleas and conifers and a fertilizer for food crops. I don’t grow any of these anymore. Note that I stay away from trendy plant foods which can be weak fertilizers. I stay away from sugar or molasses based fertilizers. They work to feed the microorganisms and fungus in the soil that eventually produce nitrogen the plant uses. The down sides are blooming of fungal growth the way sugar mixed with yeast and water causes it to bloom in bread making. It’s attractive to feed fungus gnats. The sugars attract ants. 🍀🪴
