All of my alocasias are in a self watering pot. I personally keep them in a plastic one with a water level indicator. It can help boost their humidity to what they want. I put a picture showing my pot, and a sunburnt leaf on the right. He’ll be getting a chop today. Many people have found that putting them in Pon is easiest but I haven’t tried it. I keep mine in all purpose soil with extra coco soil and perlite. I have found that they sunburn the easiest of all my plants, so rotating and adjusting is key. They can be drama “princesses”. Calatheas are the queens🤭. They are very telling when they’re stressed and will show it on their leaves. The most unique one is they may drop leaves after repotting.
