Hello! Do any of you know what is wrong with my plant? I ended up taking these leaves off my fiddle leaf fig but they look like some kind of disease. I have one of those fancy pots that auto-waters so I don’t think it’s that but any help is appreciated!

It's hard to say exactly, but I would bet it's a watering issue of some type. I would check your soil deep in the pot even to the bottom to see how wet it is. Don't use a water meter. I don't think they are entirely reliable sometimes. If it's soggy down there I would say over watering. Underwatering can cause brown crispy edges as well as low humidity. If you think it might be humidity I would get a small humidifier or put in a pebble tray. Humidifier is more effective.

It looks like you got this from Easyplant. I know because I ordered a fiddle leaf fig from them in the exact same pot and it 100% is the pot, at least in my experience. My pot was just giving it too much water and the leaves turned brown just like this. To be fair, it also wasn’t getting enough light. I ended up getting a replacement fig tree from Easyplant for free. When the new plant arrived, I immediately removed it from the Easyplant pot, and repotted it into a clear nursery pot of a similar size using Perfect Plant Fiddle Leaf Fig soil from Amazon. You can always make your own mix to save money but I’m always worried I’ll do it wrong so I buy the premade stuff. From there, I gave it its own dedicated overhead grow light, otherwise if you have a really bright window I would move it there if it’s not in a bright window already. These things need a ton of indirect bright light or they throw a fit. From there, I watered it with exactly 4 cups of water once a week on the same day every week. I know people say not to water on a schedule but I swear these things need that. And it also would get mad at me if I gave it anymore water than that. Of course this is just what worked for me but maybe it will give you some ideas. I also kept the original tree they sent me and ended up cutting it down to a stub because all the leaves were ruined. It will grow back!

For reference, the first photo is the first fig tree I got from Easyplant using their self watering system. This was at the beginning stages, but you can see the leaves have a lot of browning already. The second photo was my replacement tree that I immediately moved into a nursery pot with drainage. I only lost a couple leaves at the bottom and the remaining leaves stayed very healthy.

Easyplant is bad and keeps the soil wayyyyyy too moist. I had a plant from easyplant and I had to take it out and repot it to save its life, and also save my house from gnats. So many gnats.
