I have this Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus but it's not blooming. ☹️ it grows. There are three clumps in this pot. Have I done something wrong??? Help! I might have to toss and buy a new one.

No way! It’s still looks healthy! How long have you had it? Has it ever bloomed? Did you repot it recently? Do you fertilize it? Does it get enough light? I have a very small one. I think it’s been 3 years? It only gets one or two flowers but the green parts still grows, like yours. I never toss a living plant just because it doesn’t flower, don’t give up!

I've had it about two years. Yes it did bloom once. Not recently but about a year ago, I repotted it. I fertilize it according to Planta. It is is my west window. Ok I won't give up.

They need a period of cooler temperatures and longer darkness periods in the fall to produce blooms. I've had my original as an indoor plant for 5 years. I've been able to get two bloom cycles per year since it's 2nd autumn. The houseplant journal has an article called Schlumbergera Blooming: Most Accurate Tips. I haven't done anything special for mine ever, just bright indirect light and my normal thermostat adjustments for the seasons.

I’ve had people tell me to put Christmas cactuses in a closet to help them bloom. Perhaps it’s for the darkness factor, like you said.

I threw one out a few years ago (before my plant addiction started) because it wasn’t blooming and I didn’t understand the plant. I regret it!!!

I have 3 of them-two are budding and one shows no signs of flowering whatsoever. One is established, one has been propogated and the one not blooming is newly potted a few months ago. Maybe that has something to do with it? They live outside in zone 9, for reference.
