Help!!! I moved Vicky so she gets more light; she’s in front of the window now. According to my research I’m over watering. I waited til her soil was dry before watering again. I changed her soil mix today. But now she’s not straight. Her leaves have some brown spots. Should I separate each plant, instead of having two on the same pot? Should I cut off some of spotty leaves? Should I just fall back? Somebody take the wheel
Is that a type of rubber tree? It’s very pretty. I have a tenike rubber tree that has 3 plants in it. Other than that, I’m not really sure how to help. Sorry. Good luck

it’s normal for them to drop their lower leaves as it starts using energy to grow taller. It's a tree so the bottom just ends up a trunk. They are also just dramatic if anything has changed, which makes sense since you moved it to a new spot. It will be fine, you’ll probably see the white come off first though as the variegated parts of a leaf are just generally weaker. i’m not sure about trimming it off, but it will fall of on its own naturally regardless. beautiful variegation on her!

I have a ficus tienke like this and we went through some strife but he’s healthy as can be right now! He wears the same scars mine went through, good thing is they are resilient. Couple of things to note, they are drought tolerant but don’t like to dry all the way out, the leaf droop is normal if you moved its spot recently (Dramatic Adjusters) the crisping spots can be two things, either it’s getting to much sun and can’t keep up the moisture needs so it’s siphoning it from lower ones. You don’t need to take it off unless it’s just not visually appealing. As long as the green isn’t damaged then it’s still producing energy for the plant. I do see in the picture that one leaf looks like in’s partially buried, if so the plant is suffocating. Tree like plants like their root flare exposed some. They are very tough but they are very slow to recover (normal growth can be slow too) so be patient with him

It’s a ficus tineke and is quite peculiar, mine convince me is dying before actually start grow. Soil should never be to dry and never be to wet either so ensure you keep it moist without overwatering. I sort of done just like you before learning about it. Basically not enough water was stressing the plant and overwatering didn’t make it better but add more stress. Further, tineke in nature is actually a tree so moving it around is another stress point. Good news is a resilient plant, so if you place it in a lighted spot (but no direct sun) and never move it, water it religiously every 5-6 days it will recover. Will lose leafs, but will look like mine soon.
