Ok everyone I need recommendations, my last one I had was not even half the size . This would be my “second” one cause the first was a rescue that ended up dying again cause of the cold . Does anyone have any tips or even so recommendations on soil ? The pot is the pot she came in & its self watering which I notice she loves so far (:

It’s perfect that it’s already in a self-watering pot because that’s my biggest recommendation for alocasia! As far as soil, i personally like to use 100% sphagnum moss. PON also works well for many alocasia, but the important thing is that both can help avoid problems with root rot. To encourage new leaf growth, I recommend watering with dilute fertilizer (1/4 to 1/2 strength) every watering. This is perfect for the self watering pot

I have an Alocasia Bambino on the way to me! Is that the same variety? Looks like his picture…

Honestly it’s perfect as is. I agree with the other comments. I have mine in a self watering pot that I put tons of crystals as a top dressing and even STILL with my grow light inside its loving life. I hope you enjoy this plant as much as we do !!
