Could it be that your soil is too wet? I’m not an expert but I let mine dry out a little between watering. You could lop the scraggly ones off and see what happens. I’ve included mine for reference
0件のいいねhonestly that could be it! i’ve been watering it every 3 days according to this app but ill try to let it dry out a bit more and see what happens! thanks! your plant looks fab
0件のいいねI don't follow the app's guidance I just use it to remind me to check. They can't possibly predict when is the best time to water because they don't know the exact conditions.
2件のいいねMine wasn’t getting enough light I believe. The colors faded and it got very leggy then died off. What type of light is it getting?
いいね 1件with my apartment i’m very limited to the amount of light it gets but right now it’s on a windowsill that gets bright indirect light in the morning to about 12pm
2件のいいねIs it possible to add grow lights?
0件のいいねi’ve never tried using grow lights before! that could be a possibility
2件のいいねThe leaves will get bigger if you repot in a bigger pot!
0件のいいねi’ll probably have to do that! i’ve had this plant for a few months now and never moved her into a new pot
0件のいいねYes try it. I have the same plant and had the same issue. Once I repotted, it is now thriving :)
いいね 1件I'm going to challenge that suggestion. The size of leaves has to do with health of roots. Unless you have such thick roots it's outgrown its pot I don't recommend sizing up. More wet soil means more potential root rot.
0件のいいねMine are leggy, but honestly I like them this way (I’m telling myself this because I totally forgot about them). It’s because I haven’t pruned them, they are outside plants so light is abundant. I’d say prune it. Pinch the tips/top 2 leaves on each branch & flower spikes and remove leggy or yellowing foliage. Regularly remove dead, damaged, or spent flower stems and leaves to encourage new growth and prevent legginess. To prune legginess, use disinfected shears or scissors, cut just above the node. I would stick the cuttings in some root hormone powder and stick them back in the pot to try and get it bushier or propagate new plants. I’m not good at throwing away parts of my plants. Lol I’m always sticking them in some water or dirt. Oh and it’s better to prune in the growing season (spring and summer), but I’ve done it successfully in the winter when I keep them inside under grow lights.
