I was gifted this plant & don’t know much about it. It’s very leggy & sparse. Is this normal? It used to stand straight up but is now too heavy to do that so it just kind droops. Does it look healthy? Is there anything I can do to improve it?

it does look healthy, but it may have been subjected to poor conditions with the previous owner, explaining the legginess. if you get a plastic pole and some plant velcro, or even some plastic wrap, and tie them up not too tight they'll grow new roots on the exposed stem & attach to the pole so it stands up again.

Okay so this plant is supposed to stand? I was tempted to try something like this but just didn’t know if it would harm the plant or if it was supposed to lean like this. Thank you!!

syngonium are climbers. the stems are not hardy enough to "stand", per se, but it will climb up a pole or stake and appear upright, which is how most people display them. if you do not desire a climbing plant, they vine just fine & will be completely healthy without a pole.
