I went back to Ott’s exotic plants today because I was nearby for PD. I am proud of myself because I managed to leave with only two plants, another bee balm for the side garden and an adorable Peperomia deppeana named Ana. I really wanted to get a Hoya australis Lisa that was gorgeous but I read that they are climbers and I just don’t have space for that. I feel it wouldn’t be fair to her to buy a climbing plant and not have room for her to climb. I still want to get a Peperomia caperata cayenne so maybe tomorrow. I added some pictures of other plants I had considered.

The Hoya Australis could be turned into a trailing plant rather than a climbing plant if you don’t put it on a trellis. I recently bought my first Hoya to turn it into a trailing plant over time. It’ll take some time for it to grow as they’re slower growers than other trailing plants. Congrats on the other peperomia you found! I haven’t tried that cultivar yet 😊

Isn’t the peperomia so cute? Planta had difficulty naming it when I scanned it. It’s such a nice little plant. Since I’ll be going back tomorrow maybe I’ll get the Hoya. Just have to find somewhere to put it!
