Hi All! My Alocasia Jacklyn came with moss covering the potting soil. It has remained damp for almost 2 weeks now. Two of my smaller leaves are starting to turn yellow on the outsides. Recommendations? Also thoughts on removing the moss off the top of the potting soil? Aye or nay? TYSMIA

The soil is probably too dense and it may have root rot. Alocasias like a chunky soil mix and like to dry out between waterings
