Plant friends will understand - a plant store in my area is closing and had plants half price! I have 6 new plants coming my way soon! It would’ve been more had I acted fast enough with their online system. Once they announced it, I think we broke their internet with our purchases! New things I’m getting I’ve never had before, so I welcome any advice: 🍃Dieffenbachia Camouflage - I had a different dieffenbacchia once that did well for a while then slowly declined and died so worried about this one! 🍃Ivy 🍃Ric rac cactus 🍃Whale Fin Sansevieria - I’ve had other sansevieria but not this one. 🍃Peperomia Jelly 🍃Peperomia Obtusifolia

Dieffenbachia can survive in lower light for a time, but it actually likes more medium light conditions. Peperomia obtusifolia likes to be able to "see the sky"-- so at the least bright indirect with a little direct sun morning and evening. Also, nursery soil is often too dense for it; you may want to repor it into something that drains better.

Thank you! In terms of the soil needs, could this be solved with some perlite added to the soil? That’s what I was recommended to do with my ZZs.

      Perlite would work!

Based on what you listed, here is my advice: Ivy: I found it to be a spider mites magnet. (That’s coming from someone with alocasias) Just keep it extra clean and keep a close eye. Both peperomia: they are to be handled like succulents in terms of watering. They are ok but I like fast growers and they were not the fastest for me.
