Hey guys! I’m needing advice on my baby aloe plant. I got the clipping from my plant friend and I put in in a pot with some potting soil and it is not doing well. It hasn’t grown at all since I got it a week ago and the tips are starting to turn a yellowing brown. Please help me save her thanks!!!

Did it have roots? If it was a cutting it needed to dry down a little before you planted it and it looks like it's planted a little deep so you might want to plant it a little shallower. The soil looks right. It should be a cactus mix or at least something well draining. You will not see growth for a while it takes time for them to get reestablished even if they have roots.

It might do with a smaller pot, large pots hold too much moisture, especially for plants that preferred drier. And id add more perlite or pumice/lava rock to this mix so it's better draining. And uncover those bottom leaves are bit, so its setting more like this. If there's not a root system to secure it, sometimes you can prop it with plant stakes or even just some chopsticks on either side

I fully agree with the previous comments. I recommend replacing all of the soil with clean fresh soil when downsizing to a much smaller pot. There appears to be another plant rotting in the soil. I’m assuming you reused an old pot. The plant (tradescantia?) will rot leading to bacterial and fungal growth. Excess soil, water and and rotting vegetation will attract fungus gnats, harming the plant . You want the cutting to start in a clean soil. I recommend removing all the soil from the plant, rinsing with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. Let the cutting dry to callous, if it’s a rootless cutting, before replanting in a 4 inch wide pot of fresh soil. 🪴🍀

Oh that looks much better! It may take a bit, as they can be slow, but soon you'll have a bigger plant, putting out it's own pups

Just keep an eye on the watering so it dries out in-between and you should be great
