Hi! I just cut a bud off a chinese money plant, and was wondering if soaking the bottom would be the right way to propagate? Should I wait for roots to show up before putting it in soil?

I’ve had success propagating in water. Took a couple month for some good roots to grow. Then I planted in soil and gave away as gifts.

how long did you let the roots grow before planting in soil?

I think I waited about 2-3 months. Their roots are very small and hairy like, so I kept them in water for a while.
