This is my flaming Katy, she bloomed all summer, but her stem lengths are about two feet. I would like her to be fuller but not sure how much I should cut back. Any ideas?

You can prune these pretty aggressively as long as they're getting enough light. They also prop pretty easily, so you can cut the super long branches, let the cut ends dry for several hours/overnight, and put them back in the pot a couple nodes deep and they'll sprout roots and keep truckin.

Agreed. Cutting them so the stems remain fairly long with plenty of nodes to form roots from should help give the kalanchoe a fuller look over time. Only thing I’d like to add is that to help speed up the root development process, especially in the cooler months to come, I’d recommend dipping the stems in Bonide’s Rooting Hormone Powder after allowing the ends to callous over. You can find it at most Lowe’s and Home Depot stores, Ace Hardware, and I can usually pick mine up from my local nurseries as well. Hope this helps! 😊

I have root powder, thank you both, great advise. I will prop and use root powder.
