I bought a set of new plants from Facebook Marketplace and they’re looking so cute! I’ve sprayed them down with neem oil and they’re in quarantine for now. How long should they stay there? This is my first time quarantining new plants and I’m not sure how to tell when they’re all clear. Plants: manjula pothos, marble queen, philo birkin, pearls & jade

My rule of thumb is at least 30 days for mine. Neem oil is great for making the leaves shine but a lot of pests have grown immune to it because of how often it’s used now, so I’d recommend Bonide’s Insecticidal soap or Castile Soap as a good preventative and treatment for pests. Castile soap helps the leaves shine too. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the advice! Thankfully my neem oil mixture includes peppermint Castile soap and isopropyl alcohol, so I’m hoping that helps

Thank you for asking. I also have two new Wal Mart plants in quarantine (my first time). A paddle plant and an aloe. The advice is much appreciated!
