I repotted my monstera and this 1 leaf developed some browning but is still producing new leaves What can I do to fix this browning? I follow this apps guide on watering and I used a mixture of soil, bark, and Pedialyte and it’s in a well draining pot. I use a humidifier to raise the humidity in my room as well. The brown isn’t dry and crispy it’s really soft and droopy

Was the spot white where the smaller patch of browning is? The white parts are the first to go on variegated plants bc they don’t have chlorophyll to support the spot. I don’t really know how to stop it other than not overwatering and not letting the leaves get wet even too moist from the humidifier

Yes it was the white part that went brown and I keep my humidifier on a low setting mostly for my pothos

Might be too much humidity. It happened on my marble pothos that was right above my kitchen sink.

Thank you, I noticed it happened after repotting so I assumed it was stress that caused it

It could also be overwatering. I made the same mistake with my Thai Constellation and soon discovered they do not like a lot of water. They like there roots airy and light so I water maybe once every two weeks and she has been thriving since. Put your finger in the soil if it’s still damp even alittle don’t water let it dry out a bit. That’s what my girl loves at least. First pic is when I got her in March and overwatered causing the brown spots. The second pic is today

You can’t really get rid of the browning, it’s very common for it to spread to the entire white part. But it seems the spot you have won’t spread due to the duller color. Monstera Thai cons are very sensitive to overwatering , sometimes the planta schedule isn’t always right. Make sure the soil is mostly dry before watering again

I say overwatering also. Planta tells me to water my monsteras way too often. I always feel the soil before making the decision. A chopstick is handy in these moments. Like checking a cake you’re baking with a toothpick, if that chopstick is damp or has clingers you need to wait a little longer.
