I think my Macho Fern has mealy bugs according to Planta Dr, but it doesn't give me a solution to rectify the issue. Help!

yup, mealy bugs. wipe down entire thing with rubbing alcohol and find a systemic insecticide. it makes the plant toxic to bugs. repeat every 3-4 days until you see none returning

It might be to late to keep it away from your other plants but check them all and treat the same as the other person said. You have to get every nook and cranny. Uggg I'm so sorry 😞 you have to deal with them...

Looks like a pretty big infestation. Just something to keep in mind, you can cut it back most of the way down and start over. Ferns are pretty resilient with that and you may end up losing leaves or fronds from the treatment anyway. I’d treat anything left and your soil with Neem or houseplant insecticide of your choice.

This is a bit late but hopefully helpful for the future. Tap the stethoscope icon to get into dr planta. Then explore, pests. It gives sort of generic instructions for treating pests

I cut it back where it was harder to wipe down with alcohol. Then I took it outside & sprayed it allover with white oil. Other plants seem to be ok.
