    I like the idea of being able to see the roots and soil moisture. But not a fan of self watering planters unless you are using them for a bottom watering system. In which case, the bottoms should come off pretty easily so you can dump the excess when the plant is done getting what it needs. But if it has to “snap” on and off, that’s pretty messy

    Looking closer, that looks like it slides into to outer pot. Not very deep for plants, large resinous for water. Just my opinion, maybe check into clear orchid nursery pots? You may still want outer pots, so that would be an added expense

    I just got a few. I like them for my finer rooted philodendrons. I don’t have alocasias so I’m not sure about if the roots would work here. They’re pricy though. I sat on it for a year before deciding to make the purchase.

    I love semi hydro but I’m cheap, so I make most of mine out of containers and cute glass. They are cute but I would not pay that price personally. I prefer saving that kind of money for good lighting or a new greenhouse ☺️
