I don’t have a ton of experience with these but I just cut one and stuck it straight back into the pot. It hasn’t had new growth but I do think it’s rooting.

0件のいいねThese can just go straight into soil and be fine. However, with most plants you’ll want to wait until the roots are quite a bit longer.

0件のいいねI love tradescantia! These are extremely hardy plants. You can just shove them right into the dirt and they will start to grow. They are a type of succulent. I suggest watering them from below. They also like to be root bound. I have left mine outside in the winter before and they have come back, I have forgot to water them for awhile and they continue to thrive. They’re quite resilient

0件のいいねIf you’re trouble with rooting, you can just put them in water like this until their roots start to grow. Or you can use a rooting agent. Sometimes I just put all the broken stems into a pot and water it, it’s crazy how they will grow

i think you’ll have a better time rooting the cutting if you cut take the bottom leaf off — doesn’t look like there’s a node underneath it for it to root
