Is this ready to pot or should I wait? Any advice will help I am new to this plant. My other cutting will not root and i started them the same time. Any advice?

I don’t have a ton of experience with these but I just cut one and stuck it straight back into the pot. It hasn’t had new growth but I do think it’s rooting.

0 Mi piaceI love tradescantia! These are extremely hardy plants. You can just shove them right into the dirt and they will start to grow. They are a type of succulent. I suggest watering them from below. They also like to be root bound. I have left mine outside in the winter before and they have come back, I have forgot to water them for awhile and they continue to thrive. They’re quite resilient

0 Mi piaceIf you’re trouble with rooting, you can just put them in water like this until their roots start to grow. Or you can use a rooting agent. Sometimes I just put all the broken stems into a pot and water it, it’s crazy how they will grow

i think you’ll have a better time rooting the cutting if you cut take the bottom leaf off — doesn’t look like there’s a node underneath it for it to root
