I use the ( PIANTA 18watt full spectrum grow lamps ) they do them in black or white for different lamp holders, which is by grow gang, they also do long lamp leads with plug top on with fixings supplied, I do have a fair few of them and find they work well, I tried the SANSI 10watt grow lamp the other day but found it gets scolding hot, so don’t use that one for safety, there are plenty out there including big square lights you hang up, there probably ok, not tried them but cost a fair bit. I use above Alocasia’s Thai and monstera as well as a fair few others and they seem to work

Also best to invest in a timer, or smart plug, I find smart plug better as can override with my phone and change time

Can buy from Amazon, or grow gang website, or I have purchased from one of my local garden centers

I second this, Pianta grow bulbs are my absolute fav and they are a UK company. I have Soltech, Pianta, Barrina, Gathera sun bulb, IKEA and a whole bunch of cheaper bulbs and Pianta are my favs.

And also just to add, their wattage is 18W which is great because they can be used with many common lamps. But of course when using bulbs please check the maximum wattage allowed on the lamp. I highly recommend not wasting money on cheap grow lights like those awful stick style lights on bendy necks. I like to think that if I bothered to spend money, time and care on my plants in every other way, why would I not apply the same to the lighting conditions that I provide? :)

Honestly I would get rid of the stick light and buy a bulb. The Pianta one is excellent quality but there are loads of options out there. To light an area of plants (as opposed to an individual plant) I go for LED grow bulbs between 18W and 35W usually. They are the screw-in type (I’ve never seen bayonet style ones). So you need either a lamp or a light fitting to fit these bulbs (the bulb is an E27 bulb or E26 in some places). If you already own lamp or two, check what the max wattage is. There’s usually a sticker somewhere around the area where the bulb screws in. If you don’t own a lamp and want to buy one, I have found it useful to find one where you can rotate it to point at the plants and has a max wattage that suits the wattage of your bulb. For example, the IKEA Hektar lamp swivels so you can angle it nicely over your plants and it’s max wattage is 53W so it’s safe to use with bulbs such as the Pianta which is much less than that (18W). Hope that makes sense but please feel free to ask any questions.
