I put this plant in here as a cutting literally less than a month ago, look at those roots!! The fastest grower i own, beats pothos’ by a mile

These guys are crazy I tell you! 😂 With good care they can go from tiny cutting to giant plant with a cinderblock for a rootball in less than a year, I swear 🤣

this is my least favorite tradescantia quality, i love that they grow fast but sometimes it’s too much maintenance. to prevent mine getting rootbound, i like to discard the rootball and restart it from cuttings every year or two, when it needs it. i might save some pieces with smaller root systems but the vines that are bare by the soil will be chopped and rerooted. i just pot all the cuttings back into the same 8” pot, rinse and repeat

Thats a good idea, I’ll keep that in mind, usually i go and take cuttings from it when it gets too big and give them away, but thats a better idea!!
