I have a dieffenbachia that has gotten very tall and keeps tipping over despite putting posts in to stabilize it. I have heard that I can cut it off mid-trunk and plant it back in the soil, and it will grow new roots. I’d like more than one opinion before I give this a try! Thoughts?

I have heard that too. I have tried that before, and I had no luck. If I had to do it again, I would probably try rooting it in water before transferring it to soil, though.
