my spider plant started to have babies a couple weeks ago. When can I take some of them off? I am not sure how to know if they are ready to come off or if I should just leave them be. I am also worried if there are too many. Any suggestions?

They are waaaay too easy! U can keep them on til forever n they’ll take energy from mama, or you can clip them off now. If they don’t have roots yet, put em in water. Just a couple weeks n they will. PS Spider plants can survive in water alone. 😜 Have fun!

Okay cool! I actually got this one a year and a half ago. Someone left a bunch of babies in a cup with water and now it’s HUGE! I am totally going to give some of the babies away!!! Thanks!
2 Mi piaceI usually wait until there are at least 5 leaves on the pup and keep attached to Mum until roots are growing, then snip it off and put straight into a small pot of soil, water well and just water again when top couple of inches of soil is dry. They're very easy to grow from pups. This is one of my Pups all grown up with loads of Pups of her own.
