Its getting cooler at night so I have to bring my plants inside. They have been outside all summer. Can I use regular Dawn dish soap to wash them? *Pic for attention

Personally, when I bring my outdoor plants back inside, I use an insecticidal soap along with a really thorough inspection—especially under the leaves, around stems, and at the soil line. I’d rather use something made for plants than regular dish soap.
いいね 1件I would use a Castile or insecticidal soap for plants. You can absolutely take almost any plant and submerge the whole thang, pot and leaf, in a bathtub full of hot soapy water to wash off pests like that. You’ll make a bit of a soily mess but a quick dunk isn’t dangerous to the plant.
いいね 1件I have castile soap. Thanks for the advice!
いいね 1件you can technically use dawn, but you have to dilute it extremely thin. probably don't use it. there are castile soaps and soaps made specifically for cleaning plants that are safer
いいね 1件I don’t use soap on mine, so no ok help there. But I have always found a good inspection and a good spraying with the hose at the highest jet your plant can handle has worked so far! 🤞
いいね 1件This is the method I am going to use with my larger plants.
