I've had this guy propogating in a jar for a few months and all of his roots are darkish (why is that by the way?) but most importantly, THIS ONE IS BONE WHITE! Why is it bone white while the others are dark? (The plant and roots feel healthy. EPSECIALLY the white one is strong as hell. Very firm bone white root. This guy has only ever grown in water. All of the roots have never touched dirt. So why are the roots dark (not mushy) except for this bone white root? It's fascinating to me, but I must know - why is it so white???

It’s probably algae making the roots dark if you ever had algae in the container. The white one is short and is probably the newest. It hasn’t had much time for algae to grow on it or you are cleaning the container more often. It’s a guess since I can’t see the container.

Yes I've been cleaning the container a lot! It's a dark red colour (slightly opaque). I will keep an eye on the roots more and see if I can keep them white. I think it's really pretty
