Hello! I have a general question about repotting. I repotted a few different plants (philodendron micas, philodendron Brazil, English ivy). I tried to get ceramic pots with drainage holes. But is that the right call? I have some other plants that need to be repot. Sweet potato vine, lemon coral. They are still in nursery, should I get a pot with drainage or it does not matter?

Drainage is essential for sure. Whether plastic, ceramic, or terracotta. I personally use terracotta for my 100+ plants and they thrive, but any of the above can work well!

Up to you, but just throwing out an idea: I keep mine in clear nursery pots which have a lot of holes in the bottom. This allows me to check on the roots without disturbing the plant Then I pop that into a ceramic pot, so I can water the plant and it’ll drain into the ceramic pot.

I usually repot mine into a larger nursery pot then use the ceramic as a cover pot. I hope this helps! 😊
