i ordered indoor potting mix and was sent seed starting mix instead. what can i mix in it to make the soil more compatible for my established indoor plants? i have orchid bark and perlite

    Yep both those are what you need. You really don't need anything more unless you want to put charcoal and pumice and worn castings in there.

      does the worm castings have to be mixed into the soil and can it be topped?

    Is there a reason you can't send back the seed mix and get the correct soil?

      i got a refund for it but they didnt require a return so i just have bags of seed starting mix and i dont want to waste it!

      Ohhhh, okay that makes sense! You could always use it for its intended purpose, if getting into growing from seeds is something that interests you! I grew about 8 square feet of flowers indoors over winter and planted them outside once it was warm enough and it was really fun You could also use it in a soil mix, just keep in mind that the seed starter mix is finer and lacks nutrients in comparison to regular potting mix.
