I went to water my air plant and this happened!!!!!! I know it’s extremely under watered, I was extremely busy and forgot to water it. I assume it’s dead? (First picture is after it broke not before)

    I'm not an expert, but it looks dead to me. I had a similar thing happen to my air plants when I fertilized them.

      This happened to my air plant, too. Are they not supposed to be fertilized? I had mine for a several years, and it grew really well. I’m not sure what happened, whether it didn’t get enough water or what. But one day it just started losing leaves, one by one. Do you know if fertilizing them on a continuing basis can cause this? 🤗💚🪴

      I believe you can fertilize them, but they don't need much, and I think I overfertilized mine. I would say to fertilize them minimally if you do. I actually have totally stopped fertilizing mine.
