Hello everyone, so I have a beautiful bird of paradise but I keep reading that you should wait for the dirt to dry out completely vs just the first 2-3 inches of the soil. I use a moisture meter and at the very bottom it reads wet, any advice on which is the best way to water? Thank you!
I let the soil dry out 75% of the way not 100% lol if that helps.
1 like I was thinking the same, she’s about half way now but pushing two more leaves out so figured a watering was due

i’d wait until 75% too and do not water if it reads wet at all
1 likeFor my BOP it does quite well watering every other time planta tells me to, usually when it’s more than 1/2 dry
