Help! I have had these palms from Home Depot for a month, I have them three weeks to acclimate! I repotted and cleaned up the roots, there was start of rot and bound! Went up a pot size (2 inches bigger)! These things hate me now! I have new shoots coming up but the leaves they have are crispy and browning! Do I cut the bad stems???

Yes the same thing happened to me I have some I think they’re called cat palms if it’s the same as yours. I cut off most of the browning / burnt leaves and new growth is showing up 2-3 weeks from them which is now! Mine also is outside , bc i know if i bought them and they were outside then they’ll do better outside if that make sense? But that’s bc mine was used to being in the TX heat lol 😅🤣 I hope this helps!!

Same thing happened to me, lasted me like 3.5 months before my palm got really tall and bent at some stems then got brown and eventually died. So sad I cut one bad stem before the rest turned crispy.. I helps for a bit but not for long. I don’t think these are reliable for a long period of time sadly. Because they’re beautiful and I love using them to take up empty wall and living space. But maybe I’ll try again this summer.

I’ve heard these plants are insanely difficult 😭 I have no advice just know it might not be anything you’re doing wrong! I have a baby palm & omg it looks so different from when I got it lol

I’ve given up on palms. I always get tempted because they are beautiful and usually inexpensive. They always die as soon as I bring them inside. Oh and they are pest magnets! Tooo fussy for me. I gave up on mine and replaced it with a BOP which is very easy going. I have a friend who has a giant majesty palm in her house. She has it 3 ft away from a west window and ignores it. It’s the happiest plant. Idk. I water one once and it goes into meltdown mode. Sorry you’re experiencing difficulties with yours.
