Had this plant for 3 days from Home Depot. Some of the leaves are turning brown already and this one pulled out of the soil way too easy. Any idea what can be wrong? I have had problems with plants from Home Depot I thought it was me and maybe it isn’t all my fault! 😩🤍🪴

These guys can be sensitive to overwatering. Sadly home depot tends to keep them drenched 😬 How wet is the soil currently?

    I’m starting to see that.

I got this same plant from Ikea and it was drenched! Now when I buy from big box stores I usually repot unless the soil is dry

Repot, in chunky soil… and sanitize roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide, to avoid root rot. It should help the plant survive :)

I also got the same plant from Ikea (like Riri above 😊) and this plant thrives on neglect..lol meaning they need well draining soil with lot less frequent watering🪴

Thank you for all your help. I’m waiting for one of my soils to arrive so I can make my chunky mixes.🩶🪴

May I ask what your chunky mix is?

I would recommend pulling it out of the pot right now and removing any rot and rotted leaves. I recently had one completely rot to the point of being unsalvageable in just a few days.

I have one of these! It was my first plant and I didn’t repot it for almost 2 years, watered it maybe twice a month and sat it in a window. It did great! These guys love neglect. It is my favorite houseplant.
