I need an explanation my jade plant has been with me for so many years and it’s grown so big but now I have a problem I checked its roots recently and it doesn’t really have any roots what makes no sense since it’s perfectly thriving

If it doesn’t have any roots, what’s keeping it from falling out of the pot?

To be honest I don’t know the soil is compact but the only reason it’s not fallen over due to its big white pot

    Maybe trimming might help?

I’m sorry to say but your plant is not thriving. It doesn’t have roots because it needs specific care—fast draining soil, drench water when pot is totally dry, and lots of bright light. Direct morning sun would be great.

I think jade plants have quite shallow roots anyway - last time I repotted mine, it was about 2 inches of roots to 5 inches of plant, and it’s thriving - especially since the repot. However from looking at your plant, the right stem looks a little leggy and the curved in leaves may be a sign of light deficiency? Hope this helps! :)

K I’ll move it to a more lighter place
