This is the first type of support I’ve ever done. I’m excited. I think it went pretty well with the materials I had. I had to tie knots in some string and use a chopstick. Below are pictures from the front and back. I’m hoping this cuts down on the amount of leaning and makes it look more organized. Let me know how I did. Thanks!! 😀😀

looks good! just be careful with chopsticks the bamboo loves to suck up water and grow mold ! I would consider plastic alternatives

I was told to make sure the nodes had their back to the stake and to only tie the stem and not the leaves themselves (so the leaves can move).

Looks good, but I would also consider removing the string and using floral tape or plant Velcro. I got a roll of plant Velcro and thought it was too pricy for how long it looked like it would last, but actually it is lasting forever. It has a soft side that protects the stems and it is green to blend in a little better.

Monstera staking can be tricky when trying to do multiple plants at once. Like Bijoux pointed out, they have “fronts” and “backs”. It looks like you may have multiple stalks in that pot that may need to staked in different directions. Hard to explain here but watching a video on how to stake monsteras and why might help! Beautiful plant!

Yes 2 of mine are in the right direction and one isn’t. Next year when I repot I will probably separate the single one into a different pot. My mom doesn’t really care about plants that much and doesn’t really understand that much so she gets mad when I want to buy stuff such as Velcro or moss poles 😔. I just get creative.
