Loving snake plants

I’m new to the Oxalis Triangularis, and as it was a gift I didn’t really get to do a lot of research. I think it was slightly overwatered and so lost a few leaves but I’m hoping to repot soon into better soil. I did have a look at the roots and couldn’t see any brown. The leaves are now staying folded up so I’m wondering whether it is going into dormancy or if it’s dying? I recently moved it from a north facing window to a south facing window to try and help but I know the temperatures are getting colder and this can cause dormancy. I’m so used to succulents so really not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

They like full sunlight. But, can take filtered sunlight during the hottest part of the day. A south window is fine. Set it back from the window until it gets acclimated. It should adjust in a few weeks. They can take cool temperatures. They might go dormant. Use a well draining soil rich in organic matter and perlite for better drainage. I use 2/3 standard potting mix with 2/3 succulent mix and more perlite if needed. Use a pot that thoroughly drains. Don’t leave the pot bottom standing in drainage water. Water when the soil is almost dry or when plants droop. Leaves close at night and open in the morning. It needs water if the leaves are still closed at noon. Fertilize every two weeks with diluted fertilizer. Stop fertilizing in winter. I add SuperThrive Plant vitamins to the fertilizer. I top off the soil with manure in spring. Mine is very old and in the same pot. She dies back several times a year especially when the heat is too much. 🪴🍀

I meant 1/3 standard potting mix with 2/3 succulent mix. Planta won’t let me fix the error. 😁

Leaf loss and discoloration makes me think you’re right about overwatering. If it’s staying folded it could be a watering issue or humidity issue. I’m not super familiar with this plant but if it’s getting cold where you are, weigh your options before choosing to do something. A plant is most likely to die when it’s in dormancy from winter.

Mine raises in the morning and then lays down in the evening. Fall time it usually goes dormant and doesn’t raise for a couple months.
