Is this is silver dragon alocasia? They have her labeled as a silver pothos but this ain’t no pothos. But I really wanted to save her and she was on clearance but what first steps would you guys take? I didn’t have a good experience with my first alocasia so I’m really hoping I can do it this time.

I think you’re spot on definitely not a pothos lol. I have zero experience with alocasia though so sorry I can’t be more help.

I would let it acclimate before doing anything (at least 2 weeks), and then possibly size down the pot depending on what the root situation looks like.

Mine enjoys bottom watering. Bright indirect light! I don’t mist because my velvets leaves are sensitive but it enjoys the humidity I have happening!

Oh and that new leaf is beautiful!!! Don’t cut any damaged leaves they still help the plant photosynthesize and check the roots to make sure there’s no rot!! I just transitioned mine to a chunkier mix today and found 6 corm!! Alocasia are so fun!!!

Definitely a silver dragon, if the soil is very dense and you think it will take too long to dry out then I’d repot straight away. As long as you give it lots of light and humidity it will bounce back. When you do choose to repot very careful with the roots, the more u remove/damage the more stress it puts on the plant
