My husband surprised me with a couple plants. I’ve never had one like this little prayer plant that is in water. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.🤍🪴

The nerve plant (on the right) - they’re pretty dramatic about watering. The leaves will droop when they’re thirsty. I recommend bottom-watering because the leaves at the bottom of the stem are easy to rot if they get wet. For the prayer plant - calatheas need the perfect balance for watering. They need constant moisture, but they also hate sitting in wet soil for long periods. Growing them hydroponically (just in water) like yours is actually great for them. You just need to replace the water every couple weeks because the plant will eventually use up all the oxygen in the water.

Thank you so much yes I noticed when I looked up the plants they both seem kind of finicky. My husband must have great confidence in me lol🤍🪴 Considering he used to call it plant hospice when I would bring one home🤞🏽

those are beauties! make sure to use some sort of filtered tap or distilled water for the calethea so the leaves stay looking nice :) good luck!!
