This spider just doesn’t want to grow, started 2 months ago. It is in a 8”pot I fertilized it.

this is a huge pot for this little thing. soil looks ok, i might add a bit more perlite. a few feet back from a south facing window, or right in an east facing window is best — i suspect lack of sufficient light is holding her back. i would put this in a smaller pot — they don’t mind being a bit root bound

좋아요 1개I wanted to agree with the pot size. Looks way too big! The pot should be about 2 inches bigger than the root ball. Another way to tell if a pot is good is that you can run 2 fingers in between the root ball and the inside of the pot! I help this helps ☺️

0개 좋아요I agree with everyone. The pot is too big. Additionally, the plant is too dry based on the leaves folding close to retain water and based on the limp leaves. Healthy spider plants don’t need support structure to keep them from falling. It’s also too pale indicating lack of sufficient light. Easy fixes: - reduce the pot size as recommended. - Move to very bright indirect light or add a grow light within a foot of it - Fertilize with 50% diluted fertilizer every two weeks in summer and once a month or less in winter when growth slows. Add superthrive plant vitamins. - water a day or two after the soil dries or when its starts to go limp and fold its leaves at the tips. Good luck🍀🪴
