Question! Do yall keep your plants in nursery pots or do you plant them directly into your ceramic pots? I’ve been planting them directly into my pots for years but am wondering if I should invest in some clear plastic nursery pots.

i have both i rly on plant in ceramic if it has good drainage other than that i have nursery but my plants that in nursery are either props or babies
2 Me gustaNursery pots, especially clear ones, have been a game changer for my plants! I love being able to see the root growth so I know when to repot and water more easily. Plus, you can switch around your decorative pots!
8 Me gustaDitto for me.

To be honest, I just immediately put them as ceramic pot. I do not like plastic because micro plastics
2 Me gustaI do both. I even got some cool acrylic pots so I can track the root system of some of my more expensive plants.
3 Me gustaNursery pots! The only plants I put directly into pots are fruit & veggie containers (berries, tomatoes, etc). Everything else is potted in nusery pots. It makes watering them much easier and is easier to monitor for root rot as well as see when the need repotting. Then they are put inside pretty pots that match the room decor. Repotting is also much easier when you aren’t dealing with the weight of a large plant AND a large heavy pot.
2 Me gustaPlastic nursery pots inside ceramic or cement pots. Easy to check roots. Easy to change outer pots.
3 Me gustaAs long as the ceramics have good drainage, you can do without the nursery pot.
2 Me gustaI always found ceramic pots annoying when repotting and also carrying to the sink/tub for watering so have nursery pots and place those into decorative outer pots. Only exception is my succulents and cacti which are all in non-glazed clay pots to allow the soil to dry out well between waterings
1 me gustaIf a ceramic pot has drainage and or the plant likes being swampy I'll plant right into a decorative pot otherwise I do use clear nursery pots. Theyre cheap on Amazon
