I just got my first orchid. Anything I should know? Tips or tricks are appreciated! It is root bound and all I have available is tree bark, perlite(maybe), and outdoor plant soil.

    Ooh I would say only to use the tree bark, preferably orchid bark if that’s what you have and well a lot of people say to water with ice cubes don’t and only water when the roots turn silver you know you’ve watered well once the roots turn green sure there’s good drainage! And good luck!

    Also one last thing make sure u don’t get water in this spot (I’ll put a pic) because that can lead to crown rot if u do just get a paper towel and soak it up
