Wanted some decorative pots but didn't want to pay the high price. So I bought 2 cheap plastic pots from the dollar tree and one on sale at target. Took some napkins and tissue paper that I had already. Used some mod podge then sprayed with some polyurethane. ... ta dah!! Cheap plastic pots have been made glamorous.... lol Mushroom tissue paper i got for free from a mushroom farm in Georgia Orange napkins were leftover from a Cinco de mayo party Floral napkins were from a mother's day tea. Hope they hold up. What have you used to upscale flower pots with?

Did you paint with mod podge then stick the paper to it? I want to do this! I currently have lots of dollar tree pots lol.

I used some sand paper to ruff up the plastic pots so the mod podge and paper could adhere better. I applied the mod podge and then tore or cut straps of the napkin or tissue paper. Applied the paper and smoothed it down. Applied another coat of mod podge and smoothed down all crease and seams while still wet. Let dry overnight. Then Applied 2 coats of polyurethane (or any other sealant to help against moisture). Let that completely dry overnight. Now I just have to pot some plants this weekend and see how they hold up. Have fun picking out patterns 😃🌼🌺

The orange one is from some Cinco de mayo napkins. It was a pack that had blue, orange, pink and green from Amazon

I love this - I'm trying this next...I'll use glass jars, to-go food containers...hot glue, spray paint, plastic beads, colored markers...then use my with props/leca set-ups or as cache pots. Google DIY planters/pots and there are so many quick easy things to try.
