Would anyone tell me how often I should water my Venus Fly Trap? I just watered it yesterday and I read somewhere that the soil should remain moist. So is that like everyday? What should I do? TIA! 🪴

It should be in a water tray(distilled, rain or R/O water). These are Bog plants.

Would a big bowl work? I don’t have a tray.

Anything that holds water, i have a few in cups or trays or bowls. The size doesnt matter, just keep the water full 1/2 way up the pot

About and half an inch wider than the pot in all directions (I use a small plastic pot)

And fill it up around an inch

If you do a very tiny tap on the very tip are they actually supposed to close up? Or can only bugs trigger them?

So you would have to poke the inside to get it to close

How often do you put water in your pot for the plant to soak from?

I let the cup be empty for about a day before refilling it

The traps only close if two of the hairs in them are stimulated at the same time

The hairs inside the trap trigger the trap closing. And you want to avoid that if possible. If you feed, feed different traps. As once they are triggered 3x they generally die off
