      Do I just pot them?

Did they have anything “attached” like roots or a lil bulb (rhizome) or just the stem?

      Just a stem

Do they have any roots at all? If so- Right now they’re in the best situation to grow more roots (a small compact space). Once they look root bound, pick a planter that’s about an inch bigger than their combined width. Increase that pattern “forever.” Root bound? Repot a lil’ bigger. And so on. ☺️

Okay. I’m not sure how much you know about plants so forgive me if this seems patronizing, it’s not my intent. Zz are notoriously slow at growing. With no roots and no rhizomes (Like a little teeny potato at the base of the stem) it could take several months to establish itself. It will need to grow the underground system before it does anything top side. Be very careful not to overwater. Since these stems don't have a large root system yet, the soil should stay only slightly damp, not soggy. Let the top inch or two of soil dry out before watering again. You can stick a chopstick or pinky in the dirt and if it’s coming back dry and easily brushes off, then you can water. If it comes back damp (like it would leave a brown stain on your finger or chopstick) wait. Keep it in bright, indirect light (so no direct sun). As long as the original leaves stay firm and dark, it should be okay. You can usually EVER SOOO GENTLY tug on a plant to see if it’s rooting or still just kinda stuck in the dirt. But try not to disturb it too much. You should know it’s working when it starts growing new things. If your eventual rhizome that develops is growing topside, add soil or ensure it is placed just below the soil.
