I have a baby rubber, that used to sit in my windowsill. I moved it to a location with less direct sunlight, and recently noticed the leaves were developing brown spots and falling off. The soil seemed low and it was time to repot it, so I refreshed the soil and upgraded it to a slightly larger pot (the roots had grown) and then moved it back to direct sun, but alas the leaves are still falling. Any ideas? Thoughts on what this could be/what might help?

That looks like a fungal disease to me. I’d get a general fungicide and see if that works, then narrow it down to more specialized ones. Consider removing those leaves, and sanitize your tools every time you clip off a stem. Did you maybe plant it too deep in the soil? Did you notice that the soil around the roots was really soggy?

Thank you! The soil was actually super dry, not sure how this happened but I’ll follow your suggestions!

I think this may be fungal as well. I noticed a few water droplets sitting on the leaves, and in my experience, these plants can be prone to fungal issues when moisture is allowed to linger on the leaves. I’d recommend watering from the bottom when possible and gently drying off any water that ends up on the leaves to help prevent further spread.

Yes, I agree with Whit_Y and Jezzeaka. This may be from fungal issues, as peperomias don’t need much water. I generally water mine around once a month and it’s perfectly happy. They can be fussy sometimes and drop leaves, but it does look like a fungal issues. In my experience it’s usually best to spray them very lightly sometimes and when you do, make sure all leaves as dry before spraying. Hope your little baby rubber gets better!
