Throughout one week I got a raised plant bed, 2 small tomato plants, a pear tree, a fig tree, a blueberry bush, soil for the bed, and more soil in general. Any tips for a raised bed or any of those plants/trees/bush?

Tomato plants need a lot of length because the roots grow more down the an out. The roots are as tall as the plant above ground as a general rule. Tomatoes won’t tolerate and weed killer so never put it near where it could get misted or doused by weedkiller. Depending on what fig tree you have some varieties are not frost tolerant. Blueberry bushes depending on the type does well in big pots. Mainly with raised bed plants soaker hoses make life ten times easier especially if you get an automatic timer setup. You’ll also have to replace a little of the soil each year because it will compact and break down.
1 LikeI have a Brown Turkey Fig Tree, is it frost tolerant? Thank you I didn’t know that!
2 LikesI live in a zone 7 and we have a brown turkey. We let it go dormant in the fall and put it in our garage. During spring we cart it out during warmer days to bring it back to life but take it in if it’s going to freeze. We have ours in a 50gal molasses drum.
0 Likesalso with blueberry bushes i heard you need a soil with a higher acid content
2 LikesYes that too

0 LikesIf you leave it in the ground and you are below I think zone 8 or 9 it’ll die back every year and you won’t get fruit off of it.
0 LikesMine is 8a so I’m fine for now I think.
0 LikesBut what does high acid content mean though?
0 LikesMeans that the soil is acidic instead of alkaline. I suggest googling for more information on it to help your blueberries reach full potential.
