How does one prop a spider plant?

Is it a cutting off the momma plant? There are two ways… Or three… While still attached to main plant you can set a pot next to plant and stick babies in soil without disconnecting them from main plant until they are rooted. You could just put in water until rooted. You can put cuttings directly in soil. Either one can work. If you are not savvy with propagation then personally I would suggest to add to water until well rooted. Then a nice airy soil after. Hope that helps and good luck!

I root mine in a pretty bowl of water with glass pebbles and watch the roots grow for a few months first. Like a glass fishbowl.

I just put them in water and then transfer to soil when their roots grow to about this long. This took maybe 2 weeks. The window is east facing and gets good morning light (today is cloudy)

How did you get those off the original plant?

You can pick it off the stem carefully or cut from the stem it grows on
