Can anyone help me about this plant? I got them about a month ago and apparently they were under water so i try to water more often. Repotting them once ( idk if that make them worse) but still seems to be in bad health. Any tips pleaseee

Do you know what kind of plant it is? I’m guessing just the roots were in water only, no soil?
0 Me gustaIts guzmania, its soil at the root
0 Me gustaHave you tried just sitting the entire plant in water? It kinda looks like a water plant
0 Me gustaBromeliads reproduce and die off when they bloom. Watch for new growths (pups) around the base and take good care of them to restart your plant. The main center part should last pretty well for a bloom, but it'll gradually die off.
2 Me gustaYou water the cup of the plant? Dump it and refresh once a week? Soil just lightly moist?
2 Me gustaYep. Each of the pups will get the same sort of care as the big one. Once they're big enough to survive on their own, you cut them off the main plant and give them separate pots
0 Me gustaSo i have 2 new pups but the leaves and the flower kinda looks yellow atm, is that bc its too cold?
0 Me gustaBromeliads want the soil to fully dry out between waterings, but they also want you to keep (distilled, RO, or rain) water in the cup of the crown. I dump my crown water every 3-6 days depending on the bromeliad crown, my super wide shallow one more often than the super deep skinny one as the shallow one collects debris faster with its wider cup. I mark it watered in the app every time i replace the water and when I actually water the soil
0 Me gustaAlso it needs special soil as it’s an epiphytic plant
