It should. Last year I put the cuttings from Hoya Carnosa into a transparent box with a moist perlite. It rooted well, but it took a lot of time - around 3 months to develop an adequate root system. After I just plucked it into the hoya soil mix. They grow really slow, so have patience!:)
1 me gustathe moss will be okay though?
0 Me gustaI think it would be even better, because it's organic. But keep it moist though
2 Me gustathank u!
1 me gustayes! i love propagating with sphagnum moss, just make sure to mist it periodically so that it stays moist. i personally don’t ever water it like i would my other plants because of standing water
1 me gustahow often should i mist it
0 Me gustai mist whenever i notice its drying out, so it’s really just up to you
0 Me gustaA heat mat helps too :)
1 me gustayes this is a very good technique as long as you keep the sphagnum moss moist and give it some air one in a while
0 Me gustahow often should i mist the moss
0 Me gustaI wouldn't really go on a schedule I'd go based on how the moss feels if the moss feels wet still then wait a few days and drain the excess water, luckily sphagnum moss retains water very well so you don't have to do this often. I hope this answers your question!
1 me gustaAlso since you said that it's covered the there will be condensation too to keep the moister in
